A quick history of Viscose Company #6
Built by Baldwin in 1925, Construction Number 57994 for American Viscose Company
of Roanoke VA.
During the early 1960's was sold to the Gem City Iron & Metal Company
at Pulaski VA for scrap.
September 2004 purchased by Mr. Scott Symans of Dunkirk NY.
Restoration 2004 to 2007, slightly modified to conform to current FRA regulations.
Operated this past year on The New York & Lake Erie Railroad Gowanda, NY, and on
The Lorain & West Virginia Railway at Wellington, OH.
JEFFERSON LIONS CLUB is presenting 'Lunch with the Lions', as a
fundraiser project. Picnic style foods of hot dogs, hamburgers along
with cool drinks will be available in their cafe tent adjacent to our
train platform.
Paid reservations may be obtained at our ticket booth on regular
weekends through the season prior to the Steam Weekend.
Phone reservations begin on Monday August 4th, 2008 from 9:00am
To 6:00pm weekdays. Weekends from 12:30pm through 3:30pm from
our ticket booth.
Parties wishing to be seated together must order their tickets at
the same time.
Answering machine messages are returned be sure to leave a full
phone number including the area code so we may reach you.

All seating is on a first come basis.
INTERNET SITE is NOT SECURE please do not use it for reservations
or payment, call us for your information and purchasing your tickets.
Weather Considerations - This event will be run regardless of the
weather. During late August the area can experience warm, hot and
muggy temperatures, please dress accordingly.
Flip Flops not recommended, positively no bear feet!
Coaches - one is fully air-conditioned and the remaining two have
windows which open with ceiling fans. One lavatory is available after
leaving the station.
