• Groups wishing to be seated together must order tickets at the same time.

Quick history of Viscose Company #6

Built by Baldwin in 1925, Construction Number S7994 for American Viscose Company of Roanoke, Virginia.

During the early 1960's was sold to the Gem City Iron & Metal Company of Pulaski, Virginia for scrap.

September 2004 purchased by Mr. Scott Symans of Dunkirk, New York.

Restoration 2004 to 2007, slightly modified to conform to current FRA regulations.

Operated during 2007 on the New York & Lake Erie Railroad at Gowanda, New York and in 2008 on AC&J Scenic Line at Jefferson, Ohio.

• Working Model Layout - In the Adjacent Jefferson Depot's baggage room a model railroad display will be available for viewing.
• Picnic Style Foods - Available in the Jefferson Depot baggage room with proceeds being used for on going restoration projects.
  
• Paid Reservations - Available at our ticket booth on regular weekends prior to this event.
• Phone Reservations - Beginning on Monday June 22, 2009 from 9:00am to 6:00pm weekdays and 9:00am to 12 noon on Saturdays.

  • Parties wishing sit together must order tickets at the same time.
  • INTERNET SITE IS NOT SECURE please do not use it for either reservations or payments but call us instead for information or purchase of tickets.
  • Answering machine messages are returned be sure to leave a complete phone number including area code so we may reach you. Don't leave a credit card number for payment we will contact you.
• All seating is on a first come basis.

Weather Considerations - This event will be run regardless of weather conditions. This area of Ohio can experience warm, hot and muggy temperatures so please dress accordingly as cars for this event are not air-conditioned. Flip Flops not recommended, positively no bare feet.

Coaches - are vintage open cars and not air-conditioned some have ceiling fans, there is NO lavatory on the train for this event.
